We Need Your Support

This is a true Community Theater. Our directors, producers, actors, and people behind the scenes are local residents. Our ticket revenue does not cover even half of our operating expenses, and we depend on additional support from our friends and neighbors who understand the value of having a local community theater and the opportunities it brings.

Your Gift is Used to:

  • Support scholarships, student opportunities, and instructor needs for the Theater Academy.

  • Provide sound, lighting, and technology needs to ensure teaching opportunities behind the scenes and training in areas needed in the theatre arts.

  • Assist to pay the remainder of the$1.5 million capital campaign originally committed for creation of the Playhouse physical space.

  • Protect and preserve our building with needed operating expenses and repair needs

Fulfilling the Promise

In 1999, Hershey Area Playhouse was formed with partnership to build a permanent home for our community theater After a successful campaign, we moved into our renovated facility in 2007. For the past 10 years, we have been striving to pay down the remainder of the original $1.5 million capital campaign. The time has come for a final push to pay the last $300,000 off and we need your help.

By supporting the Playhouse, you will be preserving an organization that has a direct, positive impact on the people of the Hershey and surrounding areas. You will be helping us maintain year-round quality entertainment as well as our Theater Academy that educates the next generation of performers. And all donations are tax-deductible!

Production Sponsors at The Hershey Playhouse are secured for each of the seven shows held during our season. Production Sponsors have four levels starting at $1,000 up to $10,000 and receive a variety of incentives including but not limited to:

  • Recognition in the theatre lobby throughout the season

  • Yearlong recognition on our website, in playbills, electronic newsletters, promotional materials, press releases, and announcements

  • Program acknowledgment and advertisement

Sponsorship levels:

  • GOLD: $10,000 and up

  • SILVER: $5000-$9999

  • BRONZE: $2500-$4999

  • KEYSTONE: $1000-$2499

Hershey Area Playhouse (www.HersheyAreaPlayhouse.com) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing residents of the community with an opportunity to participate in the creation and production of a theatrical experience. Since its inception in 1999, Hershey Area Playhouse has staged dozens of productions at numerous venues around the Hershey area. In April 2007, the Playhouse opened its new permanent home, Hershey Area Playhouse at Country Meadows.
