Hershey Area Playhouse presents original production, The Other Woman
Hershey Area Playhouse presented its first original production in February 2008. The Other Woman was written by local Hershey resident Jennifer Feldser and received the 2004 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival – Region II Best New Play Award.
The Other Woman isn’t about just one woman; it’s about seven. Okay, eight women and one guy. Seven of these women commit their nights to a telephone dispatch office during the 1940s, answering the calls and listening in on the lives of the people who call into their office. They share their own hearts and humor with one another, while waiting for their husbands to come home from Hitler’s RISK board.
The Other Woman was presented Friday, February 8 at 8:00 pm, Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and Sunday February 10 at 2 pm. The proceeds were split between Hershey Area Playhouse and the Breast Cancer Coalition and American Heart Association.
