Hershey Area Playhouse will hold open auditions for its upcoming production of Rodger & Hammerstein’s musical Cinderella, on Saturday, April 22, 2006 from 9 a.m. 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and also on Sunday, April 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Granada Avenue Gym, Hershey.

Everyone will be asked to sing a song of his or her choice, read from a script and participate in a simple dance movement exercise.

The cast calls for two girls and two boys ages 5 to 11;  approximately five girls ages 12-19 to do ballet in the show; and five additional girls between 12 and 19 for the ballroom scene. Principle and chorus parts are available for men and women ages 16 and up.

The show is directed by Jeff Cartwright and musical director is Chris Stine. Rehearsals will begin in mid May.
