The Fantasticks is a funny and romantic musical about a boy, a girl, and their two fathers who try to keep the pair apart. The narrator, El Gallo, asks the audience to use their imagination and follow him into a world of moonlight and magic. The boy and the girl fall in love, grow apart, and we wait to see if they find their way back to each other. In the words of El Gallo, "without a hurt, the heart is hollow."
The show is being directed by theatre veteran Dara Rees; musical director is Todd Boden. Performances will be held Feb. 12-15 and 19-22, 2015 at the Playhouse.
