Hershey Area Playhouse Announces 2015 Shows

Season Tickets are Now Available

November 3, 2014 HERSHEY, Pennsylvania—Hershey Area Playhouse has released the show lineup for its 15th season in 2015.  The Playhouse will kick off its season February 12‐15, 19‐22, 2015 with The Fantasticks, a charming musical tale of love and deceit directed by Dara Rees. 

From April 16‐19 and 23‐26, 2015, Jeff Cartwright directs Lend Me a Tenor, a dramatic comedy about misunderstandings and mistaken identity one eventful evening in 1934 at the Grand Opera Company.  

Oliver Twist takes the stage in the musical interpretation of the Charles Dickens’ classic, Oliver! Follow the adventures of Oliver as he journeys from the orphanage to the streets seeking a place to belong. Directed by Cory Wilkerson, performances will take place July 16‐19, 23‐26, 2015. Just in time for Halloween, 39 Steps is a hilarious thriller best known as the 1935 film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Four actors play over 100 characters during this show directed by Jennifer Feldser. Shows will be presented October 8‐11, 15‐18, 2015

In addition to its production of the classic, It’s a Wonderful Life, directed by Marcie Warner from December 3‐6, 10‐13, 2015 the Playhouse will also feature talented young actors in A Charlie Brown Christmas from December 17‐20, directed by Jill Panyard.  

All performances will take place at Hershey Area Playhouse, 830 Cherry Drive, Hershey, PA. Show times are 7:30 pm Thursday through Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sundays. Hershey Area Playhouse ( is a 501(c) (3) non‐profit organization dedicated to providing residents of the community with an opportunity to participate in the creation and production of a theatrical experience. Since its inception in 1999, Hershey Area Playhouse has staged 60 productions at numerous venues around the Hershey area. In April 2007, the Playhouse opened its new permanent home, Hershey Area Playhouse at Country Meadows.
