Hershey
Area Playhouse is a community theatre founded in 1999.
Hershey Area Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
dedicated to providing residents of the community with an opportunity
to participate in the creation and production of a theatrical
experience.
Our
Mission:
"Hershey Area Playhouse values and cultivates the appreciation
of live theatre as creative, entertaining, and educational.
We believe theatre provides a unique opportunity for audiences,
actors, and participants to share experiences, which can
be enjoyable, uplifting, and thought provoking. Hershey
Area Playhouse is the place which creates and perpetuates
programs to make these experiences available to all segments
of our community."
Since its inception, Hershey Area Playhouse has staged 27 productions
at numerous venues ranging from local schools and Country Meadows
of Hershey auditorium to indoor soccer facilities and the Hersheypark
Fair tent.
